Steel bars

Short routes ensure smooth and quick production processes: the steel bars warehouse at Hückeswagen is located directly next to the forge and keeps a selected range of high-grade steel bars and tool steels ready for you. If required, using our high performance band saws, we cut discs and specified lengths of max. 500 mm diameter – also on a subcontract basis.

At Wetter we have a comprehensive stock of steel bars available, with diameters from 510 to 1,250 mm, which we will be pleased to cut to your specified size.

A further technical innovation on the route from a forging blank to the finish-machined innovation is the 2-column horizontal band saw at our plant in Wetter. Due to its free-standing table the computer-controlled saw band guide and its cutting guide are not influenced by the material weight. The band can be guided horizontally and, turned by 90°, vertically, so that even complex pieces can be cut quickly and with maximum precision on different levels without any re-clamping being necessary.

The maximum dimensions are 1,500 x 2,000 mm or 1,500 mm in diameter.
