Heat treatment

To complete our production and supply options we have set up quench- and tempering plants at the Hückeswagen and Wetter an der Ruhr locations.

In addition to pre-heating of large workpieces, stress reliefing, standard and soft annealing, hardening strain annealing and ferritic-perlitic annealing, we have the possibility to quench and temper pieces with a length of up to 12.6 m weighing up to 30 tonnes in our own facilities.

Technical details:
- 9 bogie hearth furnaces with a maximum temperature of 1,150°C and a length of up to 13 m
- 2 quenching basins with a capacity of about 100,000 and 135,000 litres
- Recooling systems for the quenching liquit with cooling tower
- Hardness test
