14.10.2015 Business Delegation from Burkina Faso

In September, in cooperation with the Wirtschaftsbetrieb Hagen (WBH) (Business Enterprise Hagen), a guided tour of our plant in Wetter was organized for a business delegation from the capital city of Burkina Faso, Ouagoudougou. 

WBH is currently carrying out a development aid project in the west African country in the area of water and waste water management. After several visits to Ouagoudougou, it was time for a visit to Germany. Due to the excellent cooperation work with WBH, von schaewen GmbH offered to organize a tour of their production facilities in Wetter. A total of 10 visitors were shown around the plant by the Head of Marketing, Mr Patrick Schwarz and were able to get a good overview of the impressive production possibilities the von Schaewen group has at its disposal. The participants, directors of the local utilities and waste management companies, were especially fascinated by the state of the art machinery and the shere size of the operations.

Over 500 employees work at three von Schaewen locations in Germany and Poland. This includes 30 apprentices who pass through the operation and are trained in various areas at the central training workshop in Wetter on the Ruhr. Amongst the trainees there are industrial clerks, IT specialists, process mechanics in the iron and steel, semi-finished products and metal cutting industry.
