In rolling mills the slabs and plates (regardless of whether hot or cold) are transported on roller tables between the individual manufacturing stations. There the roller table rolls are installed. In this case, the rollers were installed between the preliminary and finished scaffolding of a plate rolling mill.

The special feature of this order is the time management. Usually whole roller tables are replaced during stipulated down-times. Therefore it is vital for the supplier to finish a great number of rolls at the same time and in time for the conversion schedule.
